James Butler grew up around the construction industry through his father's building company, and became a tiler because the finishing detail was the part he enjoyed most. That is still the whole point of the business: mitred returns instead of trim, grout lines that line up across doorways, and setting out that is planned before a single tile is cut.
The work spans en-suites and family bathrooms through to new-build sites, marble boot rooms and limestone hallways. Herringbone, large-format porcelain, mosaic and natural stone are all regular work, and James specialises in tiling over electric underfloor heating, working routinely with Thermosphere systems.
On full bathroom refurbishments James and the team bring in a trusted network of specialists, electricians, plumbers and decorators, rather than pretending to be every trade at once. You keep one point of contact and one person accountable for the finish.
